You know your child better than anyone but getting your views heard can be a challenge. 
From your initial discussions with your child's school or nursery, throughout an Education Health and Care Needs Assessment or should you need to appeal to the Tribunal, we work with you to help secure the provision your child needs to reach the best possible outcomes.

Navigating the complex world of special educational needs can be difficult without specialist support; and being heard as a parent can be a real challenge. The Children and Families Act 2014 has introduced new ways of working for educational establishments and Local Authorities. Statements of SEN are being phased-out and are being replaced by longer and more complex Education Health and Care Plans. However appeals to the Tribunal are still common-place.

The good news is that there is support out there.

Professional advocacy is an excellent quality and cost-effective option. Professional advocacy is an alternative to free and impartial Information Advice and Support Services, the many excellent but extremely busy charities and expensive legal representation.

Typically our hourly rate is half that of a trainee solicitor. Over a case that may require up to 16 hours of input, and potentially a full day at a hearing, this represents a significant saving compared to a solicitor or barrister.

Outcomes Advocacy does not offer legal advice but instead we use our expert knowledge gained over many years experience specialising in the legal frameworks relating to special educational needs to agree a best course of action with you, and advocating on your behalf. At all stages we explain each process and your options meaning you can make informed choices about your child’s education.
